Our first health center began
with a name that carried with it a legacy. A legacy
of fighting against the odds, knocking down
barriers, making believers of naysayer's, turning
opponents into proponents and foes into friends….all
for the privilege of helping to improve society
through the provision of health care services.
Throughout our proud 36+ year
history, Community Health Centers, Inc. (CHCI) has
continued to honor our Mary Mahoney heritage by
always challenging ourselves to do more, learn more, grow
more, teach more, give more and take less and to
live by our core values of
Caring,
Honesty, Compassion, and
Integrity.
With a group of
highly qualified and dedicated board
eligible/certified licensed clinicians and support
staff, working collaboratively with a myriad of
community organizations and agencies,
CHCI
views each barrier to access to health care as an
obstacle to get over, under, around or through:
because failure is not an option.
Because we realize our success as
an organization translates into better health
outcomes for our community, the
CHCI mantra of
Comprehensive
Healthcare
Committed to
Community
Improvement
drives us to be the best “community benefit” partner
we can be, and to build a strong reputation for high
quality and consumer-focused care that is seamless,
accessible and affordable. Our “one-stop shopping”
model that embraces the mind-body concept, allows us
to deliver head-to-toe, case-managed primary and
preventive health care and related services. Our
commitment to public health, emergency preparedness,
health education and disease prevention demonstrates
our attempts to meet existing and potential
community needs.
We do not do this alone. The old
African saying: ”It takes a Village” is as true and
applicable now as the day it was coined. Our
partners, collaborators and funding sources are too
numerous to acknowledge individually. But to all who
share our vision of “a healthy community, free of
health disparities” and who embrace and help keep
this movement alive:
Thank You!!
